Committees, Chairs, and Mandates
Programs: Chair: Linda Ribbens email
Mandate: Oversee adult, high school, and grade school education ministries. Build and education ministry focusing on spiritual nurture of every individual, preparing for informed and obedient discipleship.
Ministries assigned to the Education Committee: Adult Education, Bible Studies, Friendship Ministry, and Sunday School.
 
Heartbeat: Chair: Bruce Kuiper email
Mandate: Produce a monthly church communique. Gather writers and stories for the publication.
Property: Chair: Ken Buss
Mandate: Supervise the maintenance and improvements of the buildings and grounds.
Responsibilities assigned to the Property Committee: buildings, grounds, and parsonage maintenance, custodial duties and the Kitchen Committee.
 
Outreach:
Mandate: Help the congregation reach out to neighbors and friends with the good news of Christ. This involves demonstrating the love of Christ by sharing our Church member's talents and time with the community.
Ministries assigned to the Outreach Committee: Reach Out, Sunday morning greeters, Vacation Bible School, Veterans Home.
Social Concerns:
Mandate: Work to educate and encourage the congregation as to how the Reformed world and life view impacts and engages the society we live in.
Ministries assigned to the Social Concerns Committee: Families Moving Forward and Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP)
 
Stewardship: Chair:
Mandate: Supervise the planning and accomplishment of Calvary's financial matters using stewardship pleasing to God.
Ministries assigned to the Stewardship Committee: The building fund, General Fund and the Count Committee.
 
Welcome & Enfold: Chair: Linda Marcus
Mandate: Showing a hospitable welcome to visitors, and enfold all members into a caring Christian community.
 
Worship: Chair: Jim De Young
Mandate: Create Reformed services that gather God's family to celebrate his goodness, communicate His word, and challenge members to greater service and love.
Ministries assigned to the Worship Committee: Banners, Bell Choir, Junior Choir, Senior Choir, Nursery, Sound System, Ushers, Children's Worship, and Worship Planning.
 
Youth: Chair: Mercede Kortus email
Mandate: To oversee the youth programs of the church and work with the Youth Director to create a nurturing environment for the young people of the church where they can experience spiritual growth.
Ministries assigned to the Youth Committee: Junior and Senior high youth programs, Gems, Cadets.
